Hi everyone! Welcome to Friday and your weekly conference wrap up aka The Wrap.
This week, as I promised, we had a big announcement, and I mean BIG - VOICES OF THE YEAR SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN!
Yup, you read that right, it's time to submit your content (or you can submit someone else's content) and be part of our 9th annual Voices of the Year experience. Rita wrote a great post on all things VOTY (voh-tee), including categories, deadlines, judges, and more.
Additionally we are excited to welcome our VOTY sponsor, Merck for Mothers, a long time partner and sponsor of #BlogHer conferences.
The deadline to submit content for consideration is May 8, so do not delay.
Don't forget, if you haven't already registered, you can do so here and be part of all the VOTY fun! There's other fun too, but this is the jewel in our crown, so to speak.

Melisa wrote another exciting post about the neighborhood surrounding our host hotel and the fun things to do and see while you're in Austin. It's packed full of history, entertainment, scenery, and of course, food. Did you know that Austin is among the top 10 food cities in the US? Well, it is and we can't wait to host you in October.

Melisa has been on the team for nearly 4 years and has been part of the BlogHer community for over 8 years. She is our Social Media Researcher and you see her managing our Facebook Attendee Group, Instagram, and all the "socials." She has two boys and has been married to her high school sweetheart for a lot of years ;-). She loves to travel and try new, exciting things. When you see her at the conference, make sure to smile and take a photo (she'll post it to IG).
