We are now inside the packing window for #BlogHer16. I repeat: We are now inside the packing window for #BlogHer16!
My college-aged son was home this week for a visit, and while I was sad to see him go back to his summer campus job yesterday, it only took about ten minutes after he drove away for it to occur to me that his double bed will make a great staging area for my conference outfits and accessories.

I bet you're starting to think about packing for Los Angeles, too. Great! We've got some travel and packing tips to assist you. Yesterday's #BlogHer16 Twitter chat was full of great advice from travelers, some who have attended our conferences before and some who haven't (yet).
The general consensus about carry-on bags was that we like to pack inside notebooks and pens, snacks, medication (so important not to put it in checked baggage!), chargers, and anything super important, like real jewelry.

When it comes to packing those outfits, roll, don't fold.

We even talked about tips for post-conference re-entry.

Need more? SheKnows Chief Community Officer and mega-traveler, Elisa Camahort Page, went live on Facebook with BlogHer Social Media Manager Brandi Riley to talk about her best tips for leaving home. This is good stuff, and when you watch you'll completely appreciate the hashtag she created: #ElisaTravelsHardcore.
Check out her best packing practices, and if you have anything to add, leave it in the comments! If you'd like to read the rest of the tweets from our chat, search Twitter for #BlogHer16 in the next day or two and scroll back. Don't miss our #BlogHer16-focused Twitter chats every Tuesday at 1pm ET/10am PT: we've got three more!

You can't see the show if you don't go to #BlogHer16. Register now for your seat in sunny Los Angeles August 4-6, 2016.
